Look Who Was Caught Doing Something Good In Second Grade!

As part my goal for students to develop self-discipline and responsible behavior, I believe good behavior and kind gestures towards other students should be recognized and at times rewarded. One of the ways I do this in our classroom is to "Catch A Student Doing Something Good." When I see a student who has acted kindly towards another student (i.e. sharing, offering help, working cooperatively) or has displayed exemplary behavior, I hand that student a fish with their name on it. The student then puts their fish in the "Fisherman's Net" on our bulletin board for the Student of the Week drawing that will be held on Friday of each week.
